Reasons Your Customers Should Choose to Flush Their Power Steering
System
Surely your customer has encountered a power steering system failure
of some sort with a power steering pump, hoses, gearbox or rack
& pinion. Failures can be defined as noise or squawks, stiffness
or even leaks when first starting the car.
Once your customers power steering fluid becomes dark and
contaminated, their power steering pump and rack & pinion begin
to clog with sludge and varnish deposits. The sludge and varnish
causes the squawks and whines, stiffness, leaks or even total system
failures.
Let them know that they can prevent this from happening simply
by using LUBEGARD products. To assist in eliminating virtually
all noise, stiffness, rough or hard turning, a full power steering
flush service should be first thing you should try before it becomes
necessary to perform major repair work or even the need for replacement
of very expensive power steering components.
Directions For Use:
When used with a flush machine, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Without a flush machine: The following flushing procedure is designed
for two people to accomplish, but you should always use the specific
procedure that your mechanic or manufacturer recommends. This is
generic in approach and always ensure that the vehicle will not
be in gear or able to be operated except for the power steering
pump.
Raise the front wheels of the vehicle off the ground and disconnect
the power steering systems return line. Insert this line into a
container to collect the discharged fluid. Take the top off of the
power steering reservoir and have your assistant ready with new
power steering fluid. Then add LUBEGARD Power Steering Flush.
With the engine ignition disabled for safety, crank the engine
to operate the power steering pump, add LUBEGARD Power Steering
Flush and cycle the steering wheel back and forth to totally
flush the system. Ensure that the fluid is continually flushed until
the color is that of the new fluid. Make sure that the system is
never running dry during this process as this can damage parts.
Also, keep the system full while flushing to help prevent air bubbles
in the system.
Reattach the hose and top off the reservoir with power steering
fluid and LUBEGARD Power Steering
