2 jobs → 1 solution - Use as a Conversion Additive to enhance base ATFs into OEM ATF equivalents. Simply add to any base ATF (except Ford Type F, CVT, and DCT) to create a premium OEM ATF equivalent. This one product eliminates ATF confusion, requires minimal shelf space, and costs significantly less than OEM ATFs. Or, you can supplement your current ATF with Platinum to extend the life of the ATF and the transmission. LUBEGARD® High-Performance Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant is a concentrated additive package infused with superior seal conditioners and friction modifiers. This unique product restores additive content to used ATF and enhances new ATF resulting in improved performance and smoother, more consistent shifting. It can safely be added to any automatic transmission fluid (ATF) including full High-Performance, semi High-Performance, conventional, and low viscosity fluids except Ford Type F, CVT, or DCT. LUBEGARD® High-Performance Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant is engineered to raise the thermal and oxidative stability level of automatic transmission fluids, so when it operates at elevated temperatures, it does not thin out and pyrolize, burn, or react with oxygen and form deposits. It is formulated with proprietary Liquid Wax Esters (LXE®) that are unique because of their natural lubricity, high viscosity index, and high flash and fire points. They can withstand repeated heating to temperatures as high as 570°F. LXE® gives automatic transmission fluid the extra lubricity needed for transmission’s unique frictional requirements. They improve heat conductivity, suppress foaming and, consequently, reduce transmission operating temperatures.
LUBEGARD® Platinum® High Performance Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant can be added to any ATF (except Ford Type F or CVT fluid). For normal applications, add 1 oz. (29.6 mL) of LUBEGARD® Platinum® to 1 qt. (1 L) of ATF for the total capacity of the transmission with motor idling. DO NOT OVERFILL. Always consult your owner’s manual for vehicle specific instructions. To determine fill capacity, use our OEM ATF & Conversion Chart
For use with any specified ATF recommended by the car manufacturer, such as OEM types and DEXRON®/MERCON® ATF’s. (Except Ford Type F ATF , CVT, and DCT applications) See our OEM ATF & Conversion Chart for full coverage.

LUBEGARD PLATINUM® Universal ATF Protectant is uniquely formulated using the patented synthetic LXE® (liquid wax ester) Technology and new synthetic Synergol® TMS Technology. Together, these technologies provide the most advanced and complete transmission fluid performance service additive ever invented!
Contains LUBEGARD Platinum® Universal ATF Protectant and LUBEGARD Transmission Flush (95001)
OBJECTIVE OF THE CYCLING TEST:
This standardized OEM procedure accurately simulates standard performance in a normally functioning automatic transmission under sever driving conditions.
The test objective is to determine frictional characteristic retention, metal wear, oxidation stability and service life of the lubricant.
The test fixture composed of a certified 4L60E Automatic transmission driven by a V-8 engine. All aspects of this cycle test are monitored. Transmission fluid is maintained at 275˚F (135˚C).
Twenty thousand accelerations through the 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 shifts are performed and must stay within a specific shift time.
Fluid fails when shift time is out of specification or fails before 20,000 cycles.
